Portland Internet Radio is an educational music project of Rose City Gymnastics Academy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our music program department receives hundreds of recording performance submissions for consideration for air play each year.  It is an important feature of our mission to promote the development of the music arts by featuring both legacy and new discovery artists, and to offer the public a broader cultural experience through independent artists.

Every submission is carefully reviewed and considered for placement.  Because of the broad, eclectic genre mix featured by FAIRadio.net broadcasts, there is an excellent chance that quality submissions will be featured in our playlists.  CD Recordings should be mailed to:

Artists: Sign up for Direct Licensing
Direct Licensing is available to artists and labels who have complete recording and performance rights for their musical works.  Artists who license works to FAIRadio.net do not waive any rights, and FAIRadio.net will continue to submit  performance data to SoundExchange for royalty purposes.  Artists and labels who sign up for Direct Licensing receive:

We can also accept MP3 format recordings via the Internet if they are recorded at 320K bit rate or higher.  For quality purposes, we cannot rip lower bit rate MP3 files for broadcast use.  While our e-mail service will allow attachments of up to 100 MB, it is probably better just to mail a CD.  If you are e-mailing an MP3 file, please e-mail to djnick at this domain site.  Be sure to include cover art, label information, album information,  and any promotional information as an attachment to your e-mail.

Important note to independent artists:  If you are publishing and marketing your own sound recordings, we strongly encourage you to register at SoundExchange so that you can benefit from royalty payments for broadcast of your performances.  Portland Internet Radio is licensed through SoundExchange.  We also encourage all labels, promotional agents, and independent artists to register all CD album information in the CD Database (CDDB) to improve our ability to properly report copyrights and performance rights.  Finally, we suggest that you catalog your cover art on Amazon.com so that  your recordings can be marketed using Amazon’s cover art database.
